Grey Bruce Health Services operates six hospitals in the Grey Bruce region serving a population of approximately 170,000. Our vision is to offer quality health care close to home. Our hospital in Owen Sound is a Level 2 regional referral centre, and the largest of our sites, offering a full range of specialty services including complex surgeries, total joint replacements, cancer surgeries, MRI and CT scans. We also have thriving rural hospitals located in Lion’s Head, Markdale, Meaford, Southampton and Wiarton, servicing a range of ambulatory, in-patient and emergency needs. We have 1,600 staff, and over 170 physicians working in our hospitals. Caring for patients is our passion and quality care is our priority.
Team
- Our Hospitalist team is looking for skilled professionals to provide 2 FTE and 2 interim locum coverage, available immediately.
- Minimum 1 week locum with the opportunity for 3 month, 6 month and 1 year locums as well.
Service Delivery
- Our Hospitalists provide care for Medical, Surgical, Rehabilitation and Psycho Geriatric patients with excellent support from consultant specialists.
- With 24-hour labs and comprehensive diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI, PACS capability), our modern facilities are exceptionally well equipped.
Qualifications
- Interested candidates should be CCFP or Internist or FRCP IM.
- Independent license to practice in Ontario.

- Salary
- HOCC allowance
- Opportunity for evening and weekend billings on your own billing no., in addition to salary

THE COMMUNITY - OWEN SOUND
The City of Owen Sound is also known as “The Scenic City”. It is located only 2 hours from Toronto on the southern shores of Georgian Bay in a valley below the sheer rock cliffs of the Niagara Escarpment. Citizens and visitors can enjoy extensive recreation facilities and opportunities in Owen Sound. The City operates two arenas, and numerous soccer and baseball complexes. Three golf courses serve the City. Excellent boating and fishing are available on the bay, and during the winter residents can access thousands of kilometres of snowmobile trails, cross country skiing areas, and downhill skiing clubs.
