The CSHM aims to advance hospital medicine through the creation of specialized committees made up of hospitalists experts from across the country. The CSHM currently has three committees: Membership/Organization Committee, Education/Certification Committee, Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Committee, and Research Committee.
