Hospitalist Opportunities at Guelph General

We are seeking dedicated hospitalists to join our well-established Department of Hospital Medicine Program. Our service-oriented team provides high quality primary care to medical inpatients, consultative support to surgical inpatients and well-newborn care.
The program serves as a satellite teaching rotation for medical students and residents from McMaster University. In addition, our hospitalists are involved with hospital committees, utilization management strategies and patient safety initiatives.
Positions available:
1. Temporary full-time hospitalist – 6 months effective immediately
2. Regular full-time hospitalist starting June 14, 2010
3. Nocturnists – Regular night shifts 5:00 pm to 8:00 am

We require the following:
· Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario license in good standing
· Family physician or specialist, ACLS certification
· Interest and expertise in the care of the adult general medical inpatients
