Brockville General Hospital is a progressive, 138 bed community hospital with > 4,000 admissions annually, serving a regional catchment population of 96,000.

Brockville (pop. 22,000) is conveniently located along hwy. 401, on the St. Lawrence River, in the beautiful 1000 Islands region; 75 km E of Kingston, 110 km S of Ottawa.

Our hospitalists function as MRP for adult medical in patients and provide medical care and support for surgical/restorative/ rehab patients.

• 1 in 2 or 1 in 4 week rotation
• Weekday Staffing = 3 Hospitalists + 1 Physician Assistant
• Weekend Staffing = 2 Hospitalists
• On Call 1:3 weekdays / 1: 2 Weekend days

• Electronic Medical Record (Quadramed) with remote systems access
• Full complement of specialty support available locally.
• Full diagnostic laboratory and digital imaging services including CT
• 9 Bed Level 3 ICU staffed by intensivists
• Access to tertiary care services 1 hour away in Kingston and Ottawa.

Remuneration

• FFS with $1,200 /day income guarantee weekdays / $1,500 weekend days
• $350 / week day $700 / weekend day On Call stipend
• $10,400 / 7 day week inclusive of 2 weekday and 1 weekend day On Call
• Billing support provided

Qualifications

• CCFP or FRCPC Internal Medicine
• Independent Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
