Hospitalists - Grimsby, ON

West Lincoln Memorial Hospital (WLMH) in Grimsby is a 64 bed community hospital, one half hour from Hamilton and St. Catharines, and one hour from Toronto. It is part of the Hamilton Health Sciences.  Hamilton Health Sciences is a family of seven unique hospitals and a cancer centre, serving more than 2.3 million residents of Hamilton and Central South and Central West Ontario. Hamilton Health Sciences is the largest employer in the region and a tertiary care hospital for the residents of Central-South Ontario. Through our affiliation with McMaster University's Faculty of Health Sciences, we offer an academic environment that attracts some of the most talented health professionals in the country, and where patients benefit from innovative treatments.

We are looking for Family Physicians to fill 1-2 week shifts working as a hospitalist for our admitted patients who are unmatched without a local family doctor.  You would function as the MRP to adult patients, and to newborns in our Level One nursery.   The current schedule that we are filling is from Jan 2018 to Aug 2018 Inclusive.

We have Internal Medicine, General Surgery, OB, and GP Anesthesia backup, as well as mentorship of local experienced family doctors.  After hours coverage is provide by the ED physician from 2200 to 0800.

Remuneration is 100% OHIP Fee for service as well as a hospital stipend.  Income can be supplemented by OR assists which are available on most weekdays.
